The Young Artist Award is an award for singer-songer or actor/actress award. It is in the range from 10-20 years of age. The Young Artist Foundation was the first organization to establish an awards ceremony specifically set to recognize and award the contributions of performers under the age of 18 in the fields of film, television, theater and music.

The first Youth In Film Award ceremony was held in November 1979, at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Hollywood to honor outstanding young performers of the 1978/1979 season. The most recent 32nd annual Young Artist Award ceremony honoring the 2010/2011 season was held at the Sportsmen's Lodge on March 13, 2011.
