Brandon Mychal Smith (born May 29, 1989) is an African-American actor, comedian and rapper previously known for his role as Lil' Danny Dawkins in Phil of the Future. He plays Nico Harris in Sonny With a Chance.
Smith has made appearances in many television shows including Unfabulous and That's So Raven and has starred in the film The Ron Clark Story. He recently played Albert "Stubby" Stubbins in the 2010 film, Starstruck. Mr. Smith also performs the song and music video "Party Up" for the movie Starstruck.
Career[]
Brandon Smith won a Family Television Award and Young Artist Award in 2007 for his performance as Tayshawn in The Ron Clark Story , which also stars Matthew Perry. His other credits include Gridiron Gang, and a recurring role as Mario in Unfabulous. He was a recurring guest star on Phil of the Future and played a main role on Sonny With a Chance. He also starred in the 2010 Disney Channel Original Movie, Starstruck, in which he performed "Party Up," the final song of the movie. In 2010, Smith was in skating With The Stars, he was in second place as a runner-up. But he developed a stomach virus and couldn't return due to his severe illness. He is also debuting in a new Disney Channel original movie: Let It Shine, as Lord Of Da Bling.
